DCC analyzed the relationship between ambient noise levels (primarily roadway noise) and aircraft noise at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. The degree of impact can be determined in part by the relative difference between aircraft and ambient noise levels. The airport noise contours are shown in white (the outermost line is at 60 DNL) and the modeled ambient noise contours are color coded according to noise level.
